IlandSpaces is an advanced real estate marketplace that facilitates property transactions and agent discovery. The platform enables users to post property listings, browse available properties, and directly contact owners for inquiries. It incorporates a modern tech stack, leveraging Laravel for backend development, PostgreSQL for database management, and Livewire for dynamic UI interactions. TailwindCSS ensures a sleek and responsive design, while AWS services provide reliable hosting and scalability.
Additionally, IlandSpaces integrates Razorpay for secure subscription payments, allowing users to access premium services. A key challenge was handling HEIC image formats uploaded by Apple devices, which was addressed by implementing efficient image conversion processes. Another challenge involved configuring AWS Simple Notification Service (SNS) for sms, which was successfully optimized for improved user engagement.
As the sole full-stack developer, I was responsible for the entire development cycle, from initial architecture to deployment. Currently, I am working on an upgraded version with Docker for better containerization and improved system performance.
